Table Mountain Cape Town South Africa

Shortly to be crowned one of the ‘Wonder’s of the World’ Table Mountain in Cape Town South Africa is the iconic landmark of Cape Town.

From the top of Table Mountain the view of the ‘Mother City’ as Cape Town is fondly known are quite spectacular. Positioned between the sea and the world famous mountain the city can seen in all its glory.

The narrow finger of land running down to Cape Point in the south, the Oceans of the Atlantic and Indian surround and Lions Head standing proudly to one side with the working harbor down below.

The famous ‘tablecloth’ cloud often hovers over the mountain during the day giving the mountain a surreal type of effect.

The mountain face is lit up at night time giving off a mesmerizing  appearance in our beautiful summers.

The 360 degree view from the cable car leads you to the summit  where you will have a choice of venues to have your ceremony such as the Viewing Deck or Stone Balcony.

How many people can say they have married on top of a ‘Wonder of the Modern World’?

A truly once in a lifetime memory of Cape Town & South Africa.

Table Mountain as a wedding venue is best between the months of October - April.

As with most with most things natural  & outdoors this wedding experience does carry some risk. We at Perfect Wedding do not try and disguise this risk but deal with it up front so you are fully informed.

Weather, and particularly high winds can mean the cable car can close. The ‘table cloth’ as the cloud cover is known can reduce visibility so we recommend you look a the months between October & April

The back up plan is Signal Hill

Includes set up and breakdown, 3 hour allocation.

Full Bistro hire: R8500.00.

Bistro Bar hire: R5500.00 for the bar side of the venue only, for a maximum of 60 people.

The Summit Room is a situated above the Bistro.

This venue has two private balconies, one that faces Lion’s Head and the city bowl and the other facing the mountain, the Twelve Apostle’s mountain range and Devil’s Peak.

This function room is ideally suited for cocktail-style/standing functions with its scattered seating both inside and outside on the balconies.

Maximum capacity as a cocktail function venue is 35 people.

OUTDOOR VENUES:

The Old Stone Balcony is an open-air area situated behind the ‘Shop at the Top’, outside the restaurant.

This balcony faces the Twelve Apostle’s Terrace and Mountains and is a fantastic site for sunset cocktail functions.

Maximum capacity is 35 people, standing.

Includes set up and breakdown, 3 hour allocation.

Balcony hire: R3500.00 for the first 20 people; R25.00 p/p thereafter.

The Twelve Apostles Terrace is an open-air area situated below the new Table Mountain Café.

This Terrace also faces the Twelve Apostle’s Mountains and is ideally an area suited for early morning breakfast functions and evening cocktail-style/standing functions.

Maximum capacity is 400 people.

This is a weather dependant area and if the Bistro (mentioned above) is already booked, you will have no indoor rain plan back-up alternative at the Cableway.

A large section of the Twelve Apostles Terrace is specially cordoned off for your event and it is currently the only designated smoking area on the mountain.

If you have a very large group, it is recommended that your group wear easily identifiable tags, lanyards or group badges.

A long red rope and black metal poles is used to cordon off the food and drinks tables and function group.

This is a standing, outdoor venue and cocktail tables and high chairs are not recommended due to the uneven ground surface.

Includes set up and breakdown, 3 hour allocation.

Terrace hire: R3900.00 for the first 150 people; R25.00 p/p thereafter.

The City Side Viewing Deck (1st viewing deck) is an open-air balcony situated to the left of the Upper Cable Station.

This area is very near to the Bistro and is but a 2 minute walk from the Upper Cable Station.

As indicated on the Table Mountain Information Guide, this is the very first viewing deck and also has a coin operated telescope.

This deck has beautiful views of the city and is excellent venue choice for any time of the day.

Deck hire: R2500.00 for a maximum of 20 people.

The Sacred Circle Viewing Deck (3rd viewing deck) is an open-air balcony situated further on from the previously mentioned viewing deck.

This area is further away and is a 5 minute walk from the Upper Cable Station.

As indicated on the Table Mountain Information Guide, this is the third and last wooden viewing deck facing the city side of the mountain.

This deck has equally beautiful views and is also suitable for any time of the day.

Deck hire: R3900.00 for a maximum of 30 people.

Capacity:

The maximum capacity of the venues is based on hosting cocktail-style functions, not seated functions.

Venue hire includes: tables, table linens, service equipment and service staff requirements.

We can offer you a Plan B:

We highly recommend our Plan B option on Signal Hill, on those windy and sunny days, to ensure no cancellation of your event.

We are able to host your group on Signal Hill as a Plan B; (at no additional cost) should the mountain be closed due to strong wind, and we will book this for you, automatically.

The lee-way time we need is a minimum of 2 hours to set up at the Plan B.

The guide / tour leader in charge of this group from your company, will be able to make the weather call and venue call (confirm the Table Mountain Venue or Plan B Venue) two and a half hours prior to the event.

After this call is made; we cannot deviate from this decision.

If the wind dies down in the interim of moving the function to Signal Hill, drinks (and snacks) will be held at Signal Hill, followed by the cable car ride after.

No shows at either venue will be charged in full.
